The Stage, UK

"Putting the theatre back into musical theatre is Simon Ward."

The Buzz from Sydney, AU

As Jules in Sunday in the Park with George, “Simon Ward was also terrific. His expressions are exaggerated to perfection.”

Ms Lucy Armstrong

NSW Schools Spectacular

Student performance & events Officer, Operations Manager

"Simon’s energy and passion in presentation is infectious. He helped the Schools Spectacular Featured Artists decode their thoughts and feelings in a unique, compassionate and personalised way to which they responded openly and comfortably.

Having Simon involved throughout the process assisted in lessening performance anxiety for our students and they appreciated the practical tools they were provided with to help calm their nerves and perform their best."

Mr Jonathan Flom

President,

Musical Theatre Educators’ Alliance

"I have been participating in Musical Theatre Educators’ Alliance conferences since 2008, and of all the sessions and workshops I’ve ever attended, Simon Ward’s “Teaching and the Brain”, presented at NYU in 2019, is easily the best I’ve ever seen.

Simon delivered the perfect balance of understandable science and applicable advice for helping our students cope on a daily basis, while being immensely entertaining. I look forward to any opportunities to hear him present again.”

Stage Whispers, March 2020.

“Simon Ward portrayed the lead character of Marvin (in William Finn’s Falsettos) perfectly, showing the character’s struggles of wanting a ‘tight-knit family’, dealing with a young son, his ex-wife dating his Psychiatrist and keeping up with a much younger lover.

Ward was vocally strong and his final number ‘What Would I do?’ really pulled at your heart strings.”
